My most recent thoughts......

I have been prodded a few times lately to add to this blog.....All right!! All right!! I'll do it!!....On June 22 of this year I was able to go camping....I went with my son and his wife.....They had rented a cabin a smidgen south of the small town of Loudonville...We had such a hard time....You know how hard it is to put the dishes in the dishwasher!!! To me it was more like a small house than the true meaning of a "cabin"...... It was rather rainy driving down and on and off once we arrived .......By 3:00 PM we had all our stuff in the cabin....My son asked me what I wanted to do and I came up with hanging around downtown Loudonville and see if any stores were open since it was Sunday......There were a few stores open so we entertained ourselves by walking through them....One was The Amish Oak Furniture store.....It was a delight to walk [or roll, in my case] through all the absolutely gorgeous furniture!! The smell of all that rich wood was rapturing and I made sure that my nose got plenty of whiffs!!!!......We traveled down both sides of the street downtown and ended up at Dee's Dairy Delite.....I had a banana shake and fried cauliflower....the latter of which I shared with my two companions.....We sat outside facing the main street and watched the "World of Loudonville" go by......We were very amused by a young girl trying to walk her small dog across the street.....She had the dog on one of those unwind/wind kind of leashes and after the traffic cleared made the attempt to get her and the dog across.....And much to our delight the dog took off across at a large angle from the girl!! It was all rather FUNNY as she reeled him back and forth and finally to her side!!! What a CRAZY world!!!!!

Dreaming quite forgotten.......

No dreams during the night....I was too awake to even entertain the idea of closing my eyes and taking a rest...My faithful cat companion..Hayley.. was hanging with me as usual....I have spent hours and hours over the past month downloading pictures from Flickr....Mostly they are of horses....I just LOVE those beasts!!!!!!!! There's nothing better than scratching a friendly horse on it's forehead....on the whirls of hair....When I scan through my iPhoto program....I start renewing the spirit of each one of them as if they were stabled here at the ends of my fingers...I can actually feel at times the magnificent tenderness of the pliant muzzle.....so very soft...each and everyone!!....Now I am going off to dream about them....I look forward to a good ride!!!!

The first is hampsterdance.com ......On that site click on oldies and be highly amused by the hamsters dancing [hence th name of the site]!!! The other site is smokeybear.com  .....It is filled with all sorts information about forest fires PLUS fun and games....You'll want to hit Forest then Storymaking....loads of FUN!!!!! About my Art...

I am returning!!!! I have a wonderful radio station that streams some really fantastic music...  It's all from movies!! I find it rather uplifting!!! I don't know what the music titles are but am enjoying nonetheless!!!!!
This is a favorite photo of mine....It looks much better in a 6x10....I took it to the county fair this summer but it won no ribbons...alas...It's still my favorite!!! It originally started  as a color photo...Then I went to work on it with my built-in photo program......It took time for me to tweak it with the different blacks and whites...contrasts and sizing plus more....This is one photograph that I will never leave out of my grasping hands....I went to my Writers' Group this evening even though I was 45 minutes late....I finally got to read the two new poems I brought.....Their titles  are "As Harbored" and "Magic Hats".....Both seemed to be well liked....I was given a few comments about how I could change a few words or to leave off a line...I do not believe I will take any one of the suggestions and keep the poems the way I created them [or should I say 'Birthed" them....One lady in our group scuttled the comments made as she liked the way I worded everything....I gladly agree!!!! I have more to work on so I'll say a quick goodbye....PEACE TO THE PLANET  AND  PLANT TREES---WE NEED OXYGEN
