A sad passing......

This past Thursday afternoon my new daughter, Jennifer, had to make the awful decision to put her cat, Dimitri, to sleep....I can only imagine how difficult and abrupt the decision was for her....as she has stated, he didn't die alone in the woods....I am also gratefull that my son and she were together that awful moment and that they have each other to grieve with....That's what Deep Love is all about......I am also deeply saddened that I won't be able to meet him as he was to be one of two new "grandkitties"...My eyes are presently tearing up.....I have my own special cat, Hayley.....She is just about my best friend....Her lungs are damaged by the drug fumes we were often subjected to at our last place of residence and she has wheezing spells.....When I realized that her nine lives would be shortened and not likely to last 20 human years as I was counting on....I was so distraught but had to let go of that fact and accept that the only time we needed to concern ourselves were the shared moments we have each day....She's approaching 11 years of age and I can't imagine what I'll do without her when the end time comes....I truly hope that I won't have to make the final decision but I know I'll always do whatever is best for her and that decision may very well come..... Dimitri, I know that you are well and happy in heaven....I wouldn't be surprised that you'd be sitting on God's lap just now....

Adding another photo.....

Another photo that I found on the web....I'm sure we have all thought of this when we have computer problems! Well, some of us might have....anybody?

Moving right along....

Last weekend I went down to Akron to attend my new daughter's wedding shower....I got confused with the directions to the parents' house as I talked to my son and I read the notes sent from my new daughter....I had to circle around a bit in a couple of places but I finally found it!! 1 and a half hours there and 45 minutes back....There were about a dozen people there including myself, Jennifer, and Jennifer's mom, Linda....We had a light luncheon then party games....I had quite a few laughs!!!! Having a party is a great way to celebrate such an enormous future event!!! Jennifer, the future bride was very greatful and amazed at the gifts received!!! The greatest gift she could give me is a smile and she's not the least bit shy about them!!!!

I'm sooooo happy!!!!....

I just read the account of my son's surprise 30th birthday party....My future daughter-in-law is quite the schemer!!! Her and my son went out kayaking which took some further planning as plan A [which was going out kayaking after he did a nature photo shoot] was messed up by the weather.... On their way out on the lake they passed the almost hidden shelter where the party would be held and my son mentioned that he was looking for it as the ranger said it was a place they could land their boats by......She said she didn't think so.....so on the paddled.....on the way back when she spots the shelter she tells him "oh there it is." He told her it was just probably a cabin but she told him she was sure and that they should go in and check it out....SURPRISE!!!! Waiting there were a bunch of their scheming friends whom of which aided in plan B!!! Boy...was he surprised!!!! I am so glad to have a new member of our family that is a creative schemer...she is a soul after my own heart....She's an excellent daughter to have and I look forward to enjoying her creativity for the rest of my life!!!! And I was worried that he wouldn't get a surprise party.....
